The Cincinnati Academy of Professional Psychology (CAPP) is an organization of psychologists whose goals are the following: 

1. To promote excellence in the practice of professional psychology in the Cincinnati area.

2. To promote greater public knowledge of the psychological aspects of human behavior.

3. To designate and maintain high standards in the professional relationships between psychology and other   allied professions and organizations whose aims are compatible with it, and between psychology and the community.

4. To provide an opportunity for peer consultation and continuing education with emphasis on the exchange of information related to the practice of psychology; and to provide a strong organizational base and forum through which members may address matters of mutual interest and professional concern, and work cooperatively to resolve problems.

Members of the Academy are professional psychologists in various fields of applied psychology who offer their services to individuals, groups, agencies and institutions. In order to be eligible for membership in the Cincinnati Academy of Professional Psychology, an applicant is required to possess a Ph.D. in psychology or its equivalent and be licensed as a psychologist by the State of Ohio.
